About Me
Kimberly Loiacono
BA, HB, CST, LMT
With her BA in Psychology and minor in Business, Kim has always enjoyed the adventure of right and left brained living. She began her professional journey working in a hospital. Seeing everything, births,deaths, nurses, doctors, family members politics, bureaucracy, how dis-empowered many patients felt and how much fear is inherent in the medical system. All of this has greatly influenced her life. Later, working in the restaurant business, from hostess to management, Kim learned humility, compassion, grace under pressure and teamwork. When an opportunity arose in the corporate world, Kim jumped in and was soon the youngest relocation specialist for Merrill Lynch and Prudential Relocation, working with banks, Fortune 500 companies and lawyers, rehabbing, maintaining, negotiating and closing residential properties throughout the United States.
Kim soon married and started her family. Both herself and her husband decided that raising children was a full time job and so she began to work at home as a full time mom. After a car accident left her in pain for 3 years, she discoved chiropractic care and resolved her long time pain in 3 weeks. Amazed at the healing potential of complementary medicine, Kim enrolled in chiropractic college. Before she could even attend her first class, one of her children needed help and she discovered Dr. John Upledger's CranioSacral Therapy. Deciding to postpone her chiropractic education, Kim began her journey into the complementary medicine world through CST. Curiosity has taken Kim into many new areas, modalities and new ways of relating to the world. She has always believed in integrating everything she knows and doesn't know in each of her sessions and to her life.
Kim has a private practice in Westlake Village working with all ages from infants to adults. Blending her education and experience in each of her sessions, Kim's philosophy is to listen to the body and then to follow where the tissue takes her. It is in this way that the person and their body is in complete control of the session. Kim is a Techniques Certified Craniosacral Therapist from the Upledger Institute. She teaches at local massage schools and leads study groups for other therapist. Kim enjoys sharing her passion with everyone interested in helping others through therapeutic touch and intentions.
