Kimberly has been in private practice for over 15 years in the Thousand Oaks/Westlake area. She has studied and worked with the best in the field, Dr. John Upledger (CST), Dr. Jean-Pierre Barral (Visceral and Neural Manipulation), Dr. Bruno Chickley (Lymphatic Drainage), Dr. Gail Wetzler (Visceral Manipulation), Dr. John Hickey (Oriental Medicine/Shiatsu), Dr. Jim Blumenthal (Retained Primitive Reflexes), Dr. Piccalo (Reiki Master) and now with Ged Sumner and Steve Haines from Australia and the UK (Biodynamic CST). She has traveled extensively to train and teach.
Recently she was invited to work with former NFL players in a research concussion project and became a certified Mentor, continuing to empower students and offer them opportunities to expand and grow.
Kimberly was introduced to CranioSacral Therapy when her 2 year old daughter was diagnosed with bilateral hearing loss. She was encouraged to seek CranioSacral Therapy and decided to take a course to get more information. It was all she needed to postpone her studies in Chiropractic College and it was the beginning of her love for the work. For the past 16 years, Kim has delved deeply into the Upledger Institute's curriculum culminating with an Advanced 2 class with Dr. Upledger and an Advanced BioAquatics class where she lived on a boat and worked with other therapists and dolphins. She has also completed a 2 year post grad course with Body Intelligence, Biodynamic CST and continues to add to her skills.
Her clients range from newborn to eighty and even include horses. She believes in providing a safe place to allow the body to recognize and reconnect to it's healthy authentic self and supports creating space within the body for change. Listening to the tissue is one of Kim's greatest gifts and this allows her to follow the body's innate wisdom to align and balance. She is continually awed at the body's innate healing ability and is honored to work with every client.
Whether it is working with children, parents, professional athletes, actors, business executives, military personnel or doctors, Kimberly has helped them towards greater health and communication with the inner workings of their bodies. With power of presence and awareness, she offers confidentiality, respect and a safe space to explore and heal.
Kimberly is dedicated to sharing CranioSacral Therapy with the community. She is an Introduction/Overview and ShareCare presenter for the Upledger Institute, leads study groups for other CranioSacral therapists and teaches at a local massage school.
As a guest speaker, she has also presented the benefits of CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation at the Getty Center in Los Angeles and other venues. Kimberly volunteers at the Special Olympics and this year at the World Games in Los Angeles. Kimberly is able to help bridge and connect various institutions and collaborate resources to aid and assist those who desire to serve our community and country.
