"By creating a safe space for change, the body can release long held restrictions that have been causing pain and dysfunction. My role is as a facilitator, empowering the body and the client, allowing them to reclaim their innate ability to heal. As the body regains it's wholeness to health, it has more energy and ability to function.

Vitality, resiliency and sense of well-being increases."

CranioSacral Therapy (CST)

is a powerful modality that has changed many lives and has its roots in Osteopathic medicine. More people are seeking CST due to the increased media attention from Dr. Oz, Dr. Wayne Dryer and even the CEO of Aetna-  all who acknowledge its benefits and potential for healing. Recognizing that stress plays an important role in most disease process, more doctors are recommending Craniosacral Therapy due to it's effectiveness and ease. Type A personalities who are always on, Type B personalities who feel zoned out…these can be signs of an imbalanced nervous system.  Veterans,  first responders, nurses, doctor and others whose jobs include repetitive stress factors or those suffering from PTSD, even professional athletes such as football players suffering from concussions  are also finding help.

CST's main premise is that the body has it's own intelligence, it can heal itself given the chance. For example, when you cut your finger, the body sends white blood cells to stop infection and your skin begins laying down new layers to close the wound. There is an innate ability to heal built into your body. Sometimes, the communication system cannot work or direct the healing process due to trauma, infection or injury.  By  being able understand how an optimally functioning healthy nervous system performs and how the systems in your body communicate and work together as a whole, a well trained CranioSacral Therapists is able to assist your body in restoring and reconnecting  health.

Evaluation and treatment involve your whole body, not just the head or sacral area as the name would have you believe. Most of the work is facilitated by releasing restrictions in the many different layers of our connective tissue (facia) that hold our nervous system, muscular, skeletal, lymphatic, digestive, and immune and limbic system.

The beauty of CST is that it is an educated, specific, non-invasive touch that restores and balances your nervous system while releasing the effects of stress, injury, and trauma.

It truly supports your body's intelligence and it's innate ability to heal.

Some of the many benefits of CranioSacral Therapy include reducing stress, inflammation, and pain while increasing energy levels, range of motion, immune response, vitality and sense of well-being.

CST complements traditional medical models as well as chiropractic, acupuncture, and psychotherapy.
